Wordbee Translator

User Interface & User Experience

We worked closely with the development team to redesign their product. The challenge of making a feature rich Translation Management System more user-centered and easy to use. What brought interest from bigger clients and made Wordbee’s users happier. We designed page by page and tested with experienced users to find what was working and what wasn’t.

The first rule that we set was: Give more Power to the user!

Having the challenge of redesigning a Translation Management System in hands made us think how should be the perfect tool for translators and project managers.

The time that one worker spend on a TMS is about 7,8 hours in average. This is a lot of time so in order to make the user feel at home, to be more motivated and efficient we designed this TMS as a working desk where the user can set his tools in the place where he want.

In our platform the user can decide what features he has on the dashboard. Each feature has 2 states, one simple that takes 1 block (see image on top) or a more completed state that requires 2 blocks. But for us the freedom to arrange the working space and tools was not enough, so in the new Wordbee Translator the users can set is own background image.
